2. Classification and marking of plastic injection mold bases
Plastic injection mold bases can generally be divided into two series, 1) Two-plate mold (single parting surface). It is not suitable for molds with front mold sliders and molds with point gates. Except for these two structures, all other structures and injection methods can be used. 2) Three-plate mold (double parting surface). It is divided into three types: fine nozzle, simplified fine nozzle and false three-plate type.
Fine nozzle mold bases are usually used in molds with large batches of plastic products and high requirements for molds. The simplified fine nozzle mold base is usually used on small and medium-sized molds below 500mm, and it should not be used when the batch of plastic products is large. The false three-plate formwork is specially designed for the mold of the front mold slider mechanism, without a stripper plate, and is not suitable for the mold of the point gate.
